MEET THE TEAM
Hi there! It’s been a while since we’ve posted on our blog, so we wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves. We’re Hayley and Nick Sugden, the owners of Bowland Breaks Luxury Cottages in the beautiful Ribble Valley, Lancashire.
We’re now in our sixth year of running our holiday lettings company, and we’re thrilled to say that we’ve expanded to two cottages with a third in the works. We’re excited to share some photos with you as soon as the renovations are underway.
We stumbled into the hospitality business back in 2017 when we started converting a cattle barn into living space. We had originally planned to rent it out as a residential home, but when I (Hayley) left my job as a Sales Manager, we saw an opportunity to try holiday letting instead. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and we love meeting all the wonderful people who come to stay with us.
Here are a few fun facts about us: we’ve been married for 28 years, we love taking our dog for long walks, Nick enjoys sea fishing, and I’m a bit of a gym fanatic. We’re also foodies at heart, and we love cooking together when we have the chance. Seafood is one of our favorite things to cook and eat, and we’re lucky to have a great local fishmonger nearby.
Family time is important to us too, and we love going out and trying new restaurants in the area. The Ribble Valley is a true foodie paradise, and we’re lucky to be surrounded by so many great options.
